It is with bittersweet gratitude that we announce the ending of the Circle church plant after almost a decade of weekly worship in Pace, Florida. After months of prayer and helpful strategic planning, the Gulf Coast Presbytery decided that this chapter of seeking to establish an avenue for gospel ministry in the Pace community is providentially hindered from moving forward toward particularization. We rejoice in the many people and families who have passed through our doors over the years and gone on to other places throughout the country to serve Christ by serving others. While a permanent Presbyterian Church in America congregation in Pace is the long term goal, it was determined a restructuring and/or reorganization of such a work is not imminent and therefore it is best to end this chapter well and to thank God for the faithful endeavors of this precious congregation, and to dismiss its members to other area PCA churches who are ready and able to warmly welcome all into their fellowships.

In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the theme verse for Circle, we read; “God has made everything beautiful in its time.” To every beginning, there is an ending. To every ending, there is a beginning. God has made our humble church fellowship and ministry beautiful for almost ten years, and we have served together in many wonderful purposes which we pray and trust will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

As there are many issues to resolve over the next few months, members and friends of Circle are encouraged to continue to tithe and give to the plant until the end of year. All donations should be given online here and will be used solely for the responsible closing of the plant and for the support of our pastor and wife during the transition. Also, we plan to give away all assets of the church to the benefit of other PCA churches and plants within the bounds of Gulf Coast Presbytery—especially toward those who suffered great loss during Hurricane Michael. We have often referred to Circle as “the little church that could.” And it is our goal and privilege to remain that all the way to the end. To God be all glory, honor, and thanksgiving. God bless you all.
