After 11 years as campus minister for RUF at the University of Florida and, most recently, six years as Assistant Coordinator for RUF in Atlanta, I have received and accepted a call to plant a new church in Pace, Florida near the campus of the University of West Florida. A longtime friend and former church planter gave me a tour of the area when I was working on gathering demographic information in view of a possible RUF at UWF. The more I spoke about the need for a church near UWF, the more others began to wonder if Julie and I ought to step out on faith and do it. I grew up in the area, graduated High School in Santa Rosa County, worked for the Naval Exchange at NAS/Pensacola, later served as a Youth Minister for McIlwain Presbyterian Church after college and though I have been away for many years, I still have friends living there. It is full circle for me to come back decades later to serve an area I have always known and loved.
Rev. Clif Wilcox is a graduate of Belhaven College and Covenant Theological Seminary where he earned the Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis on Contemporary Culture.Clif and Julie have three grown children, Katie, Janie, and Zachary.
